The municipality of Teulada Moraira continues to put a lot of effort in attracting tourism and comes up with a new marketing strategy which will help to reach out for more people and thus allow an increase in the number of visitors. The onboard magazine “Ronda Iberica” reaches out to 2 million people in 50 countries every month and Teulada Moraira uses the magazine to be present on all Iberia, Iberia Express and Air Nostrum flights. The campaign will bring Teulada Moraira into the Iberia VIP lounge on the Madrid airport an into 57 other lounges around the world.
The mayor and councillor of tourism, Carlos Linares, has explained that the goal of the new marketing strategy is, to attract people of different countries and to promote Teulada Moraira as the ideal destination to spend a great vacation. “We are aware of the fact that tourism is the motor of the municipality’s economy”, said the mayor and continuesly confirms that the council is working very hard on the promotion strategy and on intensifying tourism.
The new campaing is part of the local image planning 2016-2020 and includes national and international promotions. The first promotion this year took place in the train station Atocha in Madrid where promotional material had been distributed to numerous people. An ideal moment as during the International Tourism Fair the train station gets much more traffic. Linares also explained that the council is also working on an attractive activity programme which will help to attract tourists and that a lot of effort is put into promoting commercial and gastronomical events.
