“En Mans de Tots” (it is our common interest) this is the slogan of the awareness campaign the municipality of Teulada Moraira is running during the following weeks. The mayor of Teulada Moraira, Carlos Linares, presented the campaign together with the department of tourism. Teulada Moraira serves as a role model for sustainable tourism, has lots of commitment for tourism and is already in a mature phase as tourism destination. Linares explains that it is time for reflection and for reviewing the future. “Where the municipality stands right now is owed to tourism big time and it is important to realize what this brings the municipality and what it means to us. The improvement in quality of life and quality of services has been possible thanks to tourism and therefore we have to preserve and improve tourism so it will never decrease or fail”. Linares also thinks it is important to educate ourselves as well as the people who come visit. They need to know our identity and our way of life. A manual, Buenas Prácticas Turísticas (Handling Tourism) has been published.
The tourist department underlines that this is not just a campaign which starts and ends. This is a long-term campaign covering all aspects of tourism. This is only the beginning and the council is already working on future publications. The campaign is directed to citizens, visitors, professionals which directly or indirectly are involved in activities designed for tourism.
The campaign will use different communication channels such as: lectures, press, social media, art design etc. and we will awake awareness throughout the municipality and teach the significance of tourism: “Courtesy”, “Professionalism”, “Tradition”, “Integration”, “Sustainable Tourism”.
The campaign “En Mans de Tots” wants to join forces and create “tourism awareness” as we are tourism and together we can make our municipality better and become a better tourism destination.
