The councillor Mario Font presented the second edition of “Matí Actiu” during a press conference. The premiere last year was successful and on September 17, 2017 families of Teulada Moraira will again enjoy cross, sprint, long-jump, shot-put, javelin throw and an obstacle course. The initiative is meant to promote sports activities and healthy living amongst the youngest population.
Everybody will meet at the Plaza Sisé Centenari Sant Vicent Ferrer at 9:30am for a warm-up session and activities start at 10am. The kids will be grouped according to their age and parents are welcome to participate. Gemma Fornés will teach a Zumba class at 11am.
The councillor thanked the Club Atletismo Corremundos, the civil services, the Red Cross and the local police for the collaboration.
Sergio Romaguera, vice-president of the athletic club Corremundos, hopes to motivate everybody and to promote track and field as well as healthy habits amongst the youngest. Parents and kids are invited to take part and registration is open until September 13 at the municipality´s sports office. One more thing: all participants will receive a gift.
